Meet the Founders
We’re Connie and Jonas Romero, the husband-and-wife team behind Creating Greatness. We have a special place in our hearts for entrepreneurs. The people who dream big, take chances, challenge what’s possible, and have the courage to bet on themselves.
We understand that spirit because it’s part of who we are, too.
And yes, we’re married, we work together, and we still like each other.
There’s something remarkable about people who see an opportunity and decide to create something of their own. They take risks. They figure things out as they go. They make sacrifices that most people never see. Sometimes they succeed. Sometimes they stumble. And sometimes they wonder what in the world they got themselves into. We can relate.
We’ve been entrepreneurs, business owners, leaders, and students of life. We’ve experienced the excitement of building something, the satisfaction of seeing it succeed, and the challenges that come with keeping it all going. We know it takes more than a great idea to build a great business. It takes courage, sound decisions, the right people, and a willingness to keep learning.
Our journey hasn’t been a straight line. We’ve taken chances, made mistakes, trusted the wrong people, and invested time and money into things that didn’t work out the way we hoped. We’ve also experienced wonderful successes, built businesses, and had the privilege of helping others achieve things they once thought were out of reach.
Along the way, we’ve gained experience, a few scars, and some hard-earned wisdom. But we didn’t figure it all out on our own. We’ve been fortunate to have mentors, friends, teachers, and people who believed in us, challenged our thinking, shared their knowledge, and helped us see possibilities we couldn’t see for ourselves. We’re incredibly grateful for them. And we’ve learned something important:
Nobody builds anything meaningful alone.
We’ve seen too many good business owners work incredibly hard and still struggle to get where they want to go. People who have poured their savings, energy, time, and hearts into building something. People who are doing their best to provide for their families, take care of their employees, and serve their customers. Yet somewhere along the way, the business becomes more demanding than they imagined.
Perhaps the numbers aren’t adding up. The team isn’t performing as expected. Everything depends on the owner. Or the business has grown, but the systems and leadership haven’t kept up. Sometimes it’s a lack of information or experience. Sometimes it’s advice that wasn’t right for the business. And sometimes it’s putting trust in people who didn’t deliver what they promised. We’ve experienced some of those lessons ourselves. We know the cost isn’t always measured in dollars.
It’s the missed family moments, the sleepless nights, the uncertainty, and the weight of feeling responsible for everything. And that’s difficult to watch, especially when you know how much potential is there.
We started Creating Greatness in 2021 because we wanted to make a meaningful difference.
We wanted to take what we’ve learned through business, leadership, experience, education, mistakes, successes, and the generosity of others, and put it to work helping entrepreneurs. Not because we have all the answers. We don’t. But because we have experience worth sharing, skills that can make a difference, and a genuine love for helping people succeed. We believe business owners deserve honest guidance, sound strategy, practical solutions, and people they can trust. People who will listen before giving advice.
Who will ask the difficult questions when they need to be asked. Who care enough to recommend what’s right for the business, even when it doesn’t benefit them. And who understand that good advice is only valuable when it leads to meaningful action. That’s the kind of business we want Creating Greatness to be.
Some of our favorite moments are the ones that might seem small from the outside. Watching a business owner finally gain clarity after months of uncertainty. Seeing a leader have the confidence to make a decision they’ve been putting off. Hearing that a team is working better together, profits are improving, or an owner finally took a vacation without worrying about every little thing.
And sometimes, it’s simply seeing the relief on someone’s face when they realize they don’t have to figure everything out alone. Those moments mean something to us. Because this work has never been just about growing businesses.
It's about the people and lives behind them.
We believe when a business becomes stronger, the benefits reach far beyond the owner. Employees have more opportunities. Families gain greater stability. Customers receive better service. Communities benefit.

Connie brings a unique combination of business experience, strategic thinking, and leadership development to Creating Greatness. A pilot and former FAA air traffic controller, she spent 14 years working in an environment where seeing the big picture, staying calm under pressure, and making sound decisions were essential. She’s been advising business owners since 2009, with experience serving more than 100 companies.
As an ICF Professional Certified Coach, Connie combines practical business strategy with a deep understanding of people, leadership, and what it takes to create lasting change. Her perspective is shaped by formal business education, her experience as a Tony Robbins Senior Leader, and mentorship from many leaders along the way. She’s warm, direct, curious, and not afraid to ask the questions others might avoid.
Her goal is simple: Help business owners see their opportunities more clearly, make confident decisions, and build businesses that support the lives they want to live.

Jonas brings a steady, thoughtful approach to leadership and business. Having served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, he understands the importance of responsibility, teamwork, integrity, and showing up when it matters. A careful listener with a calm presence, Jonas believes in treating people well, doing what you say you’ll do, and making decisions you can stand behind.
As CEO, he helps guide the vision, values, and culture of Creating Greatness, ensuring the company stays true to why it was started. For Jonas, success isn’t just about what you accomplish. It’s also about how you accomplish it and the people you impact along the way.
We’re still learning. Still growing. Still making mistakes occasionally. Life has a way of keeping us humble. But we’re also more committed than ever to the work we get to do. We love helping people recognize what’s possible, develop their strengths, and create something meaningful. And while we can’t promise that building a business will always be easy, we believe the journey can be more rewarding with the right people in your corner.
